DEKALB, Ill. – With only four games remaining in Mid-American Conference regular season play, the Cardinals earned a pivotal road win Saturday afternoon after defeating Northern Illinois by a score of 92-84 in the Convocation Center.
With the win, Ball State improves to 18-8 overall and 11-3 in the MAC while Northern Illinois falls to 18-7 and 11-3 in conference action.
Senior center Renee Bennett registered her third-straight double-double after a 22-point, 13 rebound performance while teammate junior forward Moriah Monaco also had 22 points on the day. Sophomore guard Destiny Washington earned a double-double after scoring 17 points while pulling down 12 boards.
