For a moment, LSU thought it won.

Then it found out that moment never actually happened.

In the end, it was Auburn who survived in an 18-13 win Saturday night after LSU’s would-be game-winning touchdown pass with no time remaining was nullified. Replays showed the game clock expired before the snap ever occurred.

On the game’s final play, LSU quarterback Danny Etling rolled to his right and fired a 15-yard strike to D.J. Chark in the back of the end zone who appeared to keep at least one foot in bounds on the reception.

But upon review, the officials determined the snap never got off in time.
