W. Tennis. Auburn falls to No. 31 Arkansas in tough road match


AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn women’s tennis fell to 16-4 (4-2) on the season with a tough 6-1 road loss to No. 31 Arkansas.

Auburn dropped the doubles point, but Alizee Michaud and Pleun Burgmans improved to 7-0 (6-0) in doubles for the season with a 6-1 win over Makenzie Craft and Flavia Araujo in the No. 1 spot. With that win, Burgmans now has 100 career doubles victories.

Freshman Alannah Griffin was the lone winner for Auburn in singles, beating Makenzie Craft 7-6, 4-6, 1-0 (12-10). Griffin is now 21-9 (4-0) on the season.
