AUBURN, Ala. – The job is simple for a goal keeper. Keep shots out of the net.
It’s safe to say Auburn redshirt freshman goalkeeper Sarah Le Beau has done that in her first competitive year, giving up only three goals through eight games this season, marking arguably the best start ever to a career by an Auburn goalkeeper.
The Crystal Lake, Ill., native helped the Tigers to the first 6-0 start since 2002 while achieving the highest ranking in school history at ninth last week. That’s pretty impressive when considering that Le Beau isn’t even a month removed from playing in her first game as a collegiate athlete.
