AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn cross country team will compete at the third annual Furman Classic Saturday at the Furman Golf Club in Greenville, S.C.
“We are excited about this weekend’s meet,” head coach Mark Carroll said. “There is going to be some strong competition. Furman made it to the NCAA Championships last season and their women’s team finished third at the NCAA Regionals, so they are a very talented program. Clemson, Georgia, Wake Forest and a few others will be there so it will be a good test for us early on. Practices have been going well since our first meet of the season, so I am excited to get out there and race.
