M. Tennis. Men's Tennis Match With Vanderbilt Comes Down To Final Set

AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 55 Auburn men’s tennis team went down to the last match before No. 43 Vanderbilt captured a 4-3 SEC victory Sunday afternoon at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

Auburn got singles wins in three sets from junior Max Hinnisdaels on court two (6-2, 3-6, 6-3) and from freshman Brandon Laubser on court five (6-3, 3-6, 6-1), and a straight set 7-6, 6-4 win by Conner Huertas del Pino on court four after winning his first set tiebreaker 7-4.

Despite a 6-4 win by Huertas del Pino and Dante Saleh on court two in doubles, Vanderbilt captured the doubles point with a 7-6 (5) tiebreaker win by Rhys Johnson and Cameron Klinger over Hinnisdaels and Marko Krickovic on court one.
