ATHENS, Ga. u2015 Auburn leading scorer Kareem Canty has been has been suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team, coach Bruce Pearl said before Saturday's game at Georgia.
The loss of Canty leaves Auburn, already slowed by injuries this season, without its point guard, its biggest 3-point threat and its assists leader.
"Kareem has had some strong moments for our team this season," Pearl said. "He has demonstrated that at the highest level of competition, he can win his matchup.
"However, his effort and attitude have been extremely inconsistent, which led to actions and behavior that are unacceptable.
