"I have decided to dismiss Elijah Daniel from our team. My hope is that he will learn from this situation," Malzahn said in a statement sent to the media just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday night.
Daniel, 21, along with DeNorris James, 23, and Khalil Sellers, 21, were all charged with one count of burglary second degree, three counts of burglary third degree, one count of theft of property first degree, one count of theft of property second degree and two counts of theft of property third degree. James, a former athlete at Smiths Station High School, was listed on Auburn’s spring football roster though he was not listed on the team’s current roster as of Thursday morning.
