The College Football Playoff Rankings list Auburn football as the second best two-loss team in the country behind Wisconsin, and the ninth best team in the country.
The top four are Alabama, Clemson, Michigan and Texas A&M.
Interestingly, Auburn’s only two losses came against two of the teams in the top four, but yet we’re still ranked behind Wisconsin whose two losses are to the number three and six teams.
That is actually very important because if Auburn wins out they need to make sure they’re the best two-loss team in the country, which means they need Clemson and Texas A&M to keep winning.
