Casey Mize earned another All-America honor over the weekend, being named to the 2017 ABCA/Rawlings Second Team prior to the start of the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
Mize went 8-2 with a 2.04 ERA for Auburn, which finished the year 37-26 and played for the NCAA Tallahassee Regional Championship.
Mize, a right-hander, ranked third in the SEC in ERA and led the nation with a 12.1-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio, finishing with 109 strikeouts to just nine walks. His 109 strikeouts were the most by an Auburn pitcher since Brent Schoening had 151 and Chris Bootcheck had 125 during the 1999 season.
