Auburn softball got things started at home with a win over SIUE (5-1) with a walk-off single by Carmyn Greenwood. The No. 2 Tigers (4-1), despite losing to Washington in 10 innings in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, are off to a good start by winning their 21st consecutive home opener.
With five hits in the game alongside two home runs, Auburn would have a bit of difficulty on the offensive side of the ball. Haley Fagan hit a single to lead off the final inning while No. 9 in the rotation, center fielder Victoria Draper added on a hit.
