Auburn Softball headed into the Mary Nutter Softball Classic in Cathreal City, California undefeated on the season. Of course, Auburn hadn’t exactly played a lot of stiff competition and while they boasted a 14-0 record, the team didn’t quite look the same as it had under Clint Myers.
Hitting, specifically power hitting hasn’t been the same under new coach Mickey Dean. Much of that could be due to the inexperience of Eddy Ketelhut in coaching college players. While he has been involved in fast pitch softball for most of his life, he only has one year of experience coaching at the college level; a one year stint at the University of Detroit Mercy in 2013.
