Auburn commit warns Clemson to beware of Harvey Updyke after Alabama title game loss

Four-star prospect and Auburn commitment Alaric Williams took a little bit of a jab at Alabama after the Crimson Tide fell 35-31 on a last-second touchdown to Clemson in Monday night’s College Football Playoff national championship.

Williams wrote on Twitter that Clemson should be wary of Harvey Updyke, an Alabama fan who infamously poisoned the two historic oak trees at Auburn’s Toomer’s Corner following the Tigers win over the Crimson Tide in the 2010 Iron Bowl. Both trees eventually died and were replaced.

Clemson campus be on the watch for Harvey Updyke! Never know what these bama fans might do

Updyke pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal damage of an agricultural facility.
