Jay Jacobs’ was hired in 2004 as Auburn’s athletic director, replacing the legendary David Housel. A former Auburn football player, Jacobs has had ups and downs during his administration: a basketball coach that turned into a dud, and a coach that turned Auburn softball into a main event.
