Myron Burton Jr. hoping A-Day performance a sign of things to come

Burton, who sat out last season while redshirting, emerged with a big-time effort in the annual spring exhibition at Jordan-Hare Stadium, catching seven passes for 124 yards and a touchdown to take home offensive MVP honors. But with spring in the rearview mirror, Burton hopes he can parlay that showing into meaningful contributions on the field this fall.

“Right now, I’m just hoping for the best,” Burton said following A-Day. “I just want to be in the rotation, me and Duke (Williams) going back and forth, just play and get on the field. I feel like I can be effective and help on the deep ball, third-down receptions — just do my part like everybody else.
