Hawks’ John Collins and Trae Young were part of Team USA’s 161-144 win over Team World in the Rising Stars Challenge at NBA All-Star Weekend Friday night in Charlotte.
Young had 25 points, on 9 of 19 shooting, and 10 assists as the rookie guard started the second half. He had six 3-pointers in 23 minutes.
Collins had 12 points, on 6 of 7 shooting, and two rebounds in 14 minutes as the second-year forward started for Team USA. Collins had several highlight worthy dunks, including one on a self-pass off the backboard and a 360 degree slam on an assist from Young.
