SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was considered to be the next “Calvin Johnson” when he signed with Georgia Tech back in 2006.
“It was amazing,” Thomas said of his signing day. “It changed my whole live. I signed with Georgia Tech. I was proud.”
Thomas was recruited by former Georgia Tech assistant Giff Smith.
Thomas, who’s preparing to face the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday at Levi Stadium, paused to remember those times fondly.
