Godfrey Retires, Falcons Sign Two Players

The Atlanta Falcons have signed tight end Arthur Lynch and wide receiver Corey Washington. Also, safety Charles Godfrey announces his retirement from the NFL.

Lynch was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round (155th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins out of Georgia. Last season, he was signed to the Denver Broncos practice squad.

Washington was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Arizona Cardinals following the 2014 NFL Draft out of Newberry College. He was then signed by the New York Giants and played in 14 games during his rookie season, recording five receptions for 52 yards.
