Nov. 3—Y'all, the Atlanta Braves accomplished so much more than winning the World Series. With every run scored, every strike three blown by a batter, every double play turned and every rally completed, this team transported so many of us back through decades of memories — back to the point it began and the special people we shared those early memories with.
How could a sports team accomplish that? Simple.
It was adopting the Braves and Falcons as "my teams" as a sports-crazy kid because they weren't just the closest pro franchises to home, back then they were the only true southern teams, period.
