It hasn’t been easy for former Milwaukee Brewers to get elected to the team’s Walk of Fame in recent years, but slugger Prince Fielder broke through as the lone inductee for 2022 announced Thursday.
The Brewers also announced that outfielder Ryan Braun, who formally announced his retirement at the end of the 2021 season, and catcher Jonathan Lucroy will join the team’s Wall of Honor, an honor bestowed on those meeting various criteria of service to the organization and career accomplishments.
It also was announced that the late Wes Covington will be inducted into the Milwaukee Braves Wall of Honor, become the 19th player from that franchise so honored.
