Chipper Jones joining team of ex-MLB stars

Braves Hall of Famer Chipper Jones is joining a team of two dozen former MLB players which will be competing in the National Baseball Congress World Series next month.

"Happy to be joining the fellas, playing for the Kansas Stars in the @NBCWorldSeries," Jones said on Twitter. Then he joked, "Should be entertaining (comical). #tornACLs"

Other former big leaguers expected to participate in the event, which will include mostly college baseball teams, are former Braves Tim Hudson, Dan Uggla, J.D. Drew, Ben Sheets, Ryan Langerhans and Rick Ankiel. The team was organized by another former Brave, first baseman Adam LaRoche, along with ex-Tiger Nate Robertson and also includes seven-time Cy Young winner Roger Clemens.
