Last week, word got out that the Atlanta Braves were in “exclusive negotiations” with Sarasota County, Florida in regards to moving the team’s spring training home to that particular area.
It appears that the negotiations have gone well, because the Tampa Bay Business Journal is reporting that the deal is done and the Braves are officially on the way to Sarasota.
In the article from last week, Eric noted that the Braves were hoping to have a new spring training home built in time for the 2018 season, but considering the circumstances, I’m sure they won’t be complaining about getting into their new home in time for the 2019 season.
