Braves bash Blue Jays with 15-hit barrage in 9-5 win

You kind of figure the Braves would rather stay north of the border, don’t you? After a 10-run outburst last night, the Braves scored nine runs this afternoon to take the first two games of the home-and-home series against the Blue Jays.

The Braves wasted almost no time getting things going against Toronto starter Marco Estrada. Ender Inciarte hit a leadoff single, and moved to third on a Brandon Phillips double to left. Estrada managed to strike out Freddie Freeman, but Matt Kemp hit a rope to left field that ended up going for a two-run single.
