Steve Janas had a forgettable relief outing as Charlotte defeated Gwinnett 9-5. Kanekoa Texeira had a good start, lasting 5 innings and giving up just one run despite allowing 7 hits and 3 walks. Sadly, Janas was unable to duplicate that magic with runners on as he failed to last an inning and after four hits (including one home run) and 2 walks, he gave up 5 runs and Gwinnett was in a hole.
