Wood pitches well, but errors cost Braves

PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies finally broke through against the Braves in the ninth inning Friday night at Citizens Bank Park, as Freddy Galvis scored the game's only run on an error by Freddie Freeman in a 1-0 victory.

The Phillies had a chance to win because Aaron Harang pitched eight scoreless innings and Ken Giles pitched a scoreless ninth.

The Braves' best opportunity to score came in the fifth, when they had runners at the corners with one out. Andrelton Simmons hit into an inning-ending double play to end the scoring threat.
