Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: The Atlanta Braves totaled eight hits on Sunday while on their way to a 2-1 win over the Pittsburg Pirates. All batters except pitcher Alex Wood and Jonny Gomes had at least one base hit. Chris Johnson even contributed with two hits!! Not many runs were scored during this game so the clear MVP of the game goes to Braves starting pitching, Alex Wood. He pitched into the 8th inning while giving up five hits, zero runs and zero walks. He also had eight strikeouts as he picked up his fifth win of the season.
