Lawrie McMenemy paid a glowing tribute to Graham Taylor on talkSPORT.
Taylor, the former Aston Villa, Watford and England manager, died on Thursday of a suspected heart attack at the age of 72.
McMenemy was Taylor's assistant manager during his spell in charge of the national team from 1990 until 1993.
Taylor resigned as England boss after failing to secure qualification for the World Cup, but his club career was a huge success.
