A former Arsenal academy star is set to retire from football at just 32, as he sets on a surprising brand new career outside of being a footballer.

The ex-Gunners midfielder began his career in North London, where he was a highly-rated youngster and graduated to the first team under Arsene Wenger.

After making eight appearances for Arsenal, he went on to represent Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Bristol City, as well as earn 17 England U21 Caps.

He was last seen as part of the Luton squad that won promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs in June, but upon the expiry of his contract at Kenilworth Road he has decided to take his career down a different path - a garden path in fact.
