Aston Villa midfielder Conor Hourihane is finalising his loan move to Sheffield United.
The Republic of Ireland international was undergoing a medical on Monday ahead of signing for Slavisa Jokanovic.
Sportsmail reported the Blades' interest in Hourihane earlier this month.
He captained Villa in their 6-0 Carabao Cup win at Barrow last week but with an abundance of midfielders, Dean Smith was keen for the 30-year-old to move on.
He impressed while on loan at Swansea City last season and Jokanovic hopes he can provide the experience and goal threat his side lack to help push for promotion.
