Arsenal and Tottenham transfer target Ben Wilmot has been pulled out of Stevenage’s squad to face Newport with a move imminent, according to The Sun.
The duo, along with several sides, have followed the fortunes of the 18-year-old centre-backs during his first senior campaign.
Already an England Under-19 international, despite playing for a League One club, Wilmot has been the subject of bids worth around £1million.
Now, though, a deal seems almost certainly, possibly to the tune of £2million as Stevenage Phil Wallace concedes he could be off at the start of the transfer window.
