Josh King opened the scoring, before Benik Afobe added the second. Marc Pugh extended the hosts’ lead, with Charlie Daniels rounding off the scoring.
Joel Campbell came on in the 88th minute as Sporting Lisbon drew 1-1 with Benfica. Adrien Silva put the hosts ahead with a penalty in the fifth minute, before Victor Lindelhof scored a second-half equaliser.
