Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck will not face retrospective action from UEFA after allegedly diving to win a penalty against AC Milan in the Europa League

Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck will not face any retrospective action over his alleged dive against AC Milan last Thursday.

Welbeck won and converted a dubious penalty in the first half of Arsenal's 3-1 Europa League win that secured the Gunners' place in the quarter-finals.

But UEFA's control, ethics and disciplinary body is satisfied that no further action is required.

UEFA does not have an equivalent rule to the Premier League's regulations on simulation, although its disciplinary body is able to review any incident from a match.
