Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny steps up recovery from ankle injury by taking part in intense rope workout

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has stepped up his recovery from an ankle injury by taking part in an intense rope workout at the club's training base.

Unfortunately for Arsenal and Elneny, the Egyptian midfielder picked up the setback in Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Sutton in the fifth round of the FA Cup at Gander Green Lane.

With the business end of the season fast approaching, the last thing Arsene Wenger would have wanted to see was his side pick up injuries as the race for the top four in the Premier League intensifies.

Reports suggest Elneny will be out for three weeks, however, by the look of things, the £5million signing from Basle is doing all he can to recover as quickly as possible.
