The eighth annual Arsenal SEMS Conference took place at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, hosted by our medical team.
The event, organised by club doctor Gary O’Driscoll and head of medical services Colin Lewin, is designed to bring together Sports and Exercise Medicine and Science Professionals from a range of sporting backgrounds, to share knowledge and encourage learning and development within sports and exercise medicine and science.
This year’s theme was duty of care and athlete welfare in elite sport, and how advances in anti-doping, load management and performance can help our athletes.
Gary and Colin were joined by our goalkeeper Petr Cech as speakers at the event, and Dr Darren Burgess, our director of high performance.
