Aaron Ramsdale reveals it was Bukayo Saka who convinced him to join Arsenal... not boss Mikel Arteta!

Aaron Ramsdale has revealed that despite the popular belief that boss Mikel Arteta convinced him to join Arsenal, it was actually Bukayo Saka.

The English goalkeeper has revelled in switching to the north London club from Sheffield United in the summer.

Arteta had made no secret of his desire to bring Ramsdale to the Emirates and a protracted transfer negotiation over the summer transfer window eventually saw the 23-year-old shot-stopper arrive from £30million.

Given Arteta's very public pursuit of Ramsdale, it has been assumed that the Spaniard was the reason the young goalkeeper joined Arsenal.
