JONESBORO, Ark. (6/18/17) – A three-sport all-state selection at Jonesboro High School, incoming Arkansas State football freshman Jonathan Adams has been named the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's 2016-17 All-Arkansas Preps Male Athlete of the Year.
Adams, recognized as the top male athlete across all classifications in Arkansas, was among 350 of the best high school athletes and coaches in the state honored at the 2016-17 All-Arkansas Preps Award Banquet held this weekend at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. Selections were made by the sports department of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
A two-time all-state wide receiver at Jonesboro, Adams was also named this year as the Little Rock Touchdown Club's 2016 Arkansas High School 6A Player of the Year and the Jonesboro Sun's “Best Under the Sun Football Player of the Year.
