ORLANDO, Fla. (10/21/16) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team began the 2016-17 season Friday at the Wildcat Invitational and ranked second among 13 teams with 4,975 pins despite posting a 2-3 record at Boardwalk Bowl in Orlando, Fla.
The third-ranked Red Wolves began the day with 1,038-958 loss to No. 1 Nebraska and fell to No. 22 Prairie View A&M in a tight match by a score of 963-954. A-State then dropped a 1,032-993 decision to No. 6 Sam Houston State before bouncing back to register its first win against Florida A&M by a count of 1,016-976.
