Ravar Ladislau won the hammer throw, his second-straight outdoor title in the event. He posted a throw of 67.20m (220-06) to win for his third career individual SBC crown. The women’s hammer throw was the first scored event Friday afternoon with Calea Carr taking third place. She posted a throw of 55.90m (183-05) on her first attempt for her best mark of the day. Sarah Michael claimed a second place finish in the women’s pole vault, clearing a personal best 3.92m (12-10.25), the seventh-best mark in program history.
Hannah Dunderdale is second after day one of the heptathlon with 3,117 points.
