Wednesday recruiting tidbits

Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema and defensive backs coach Clay Jennings made in-home visit with the No. 1 safety prospect in the nation Tuesday.

Safety Brandon Jones, 6-0, 195 pounds, 4.44 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of Nacogdoches, Texas, is the No. 1 safety in the nation, according to ESPN. He has more than 40 scholarship offers, including ones from Arkansas, Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, Oklahoma, Baylor, Alabama and others.

He plans to make an official visit to Fayetteville this weekend.

Linebacker Giovanni LaFrance, who received an offer during a visit with Bielema on Tuesday, said there's a good chance he commits to the Hogs if his visit to Fayetteville goes week this weekend.
