UA basketball player named in connection to alleged assaults

FAYETTEVILLE — One of three Razorbacks basketball players arrested last week on forgery charges has been linked to two possible assaults near the University of Arkansas campus.

Suspended Arkansas forward Jacorey Williams is named by witnesses as the man who punched a bouncer outside the Lit Lounge club July 18, knocking him unconscious, according to a police report. In an earlier, possibly related, event, Williams is accused of knocking his girlfriend to the floor at the club.

According to a police report, bouncer Bryan Jones texted a police officer and asked him to come to the club.
