FAYETTEVILLE – Manny Watkins made it official: he’ll return next year to the Arkansas basketball.
As for his NBA-hopeful teammates Bobby Portis and Michael Qualls, no such announcement was forthcoming at the team’s end-of-year banquet Monday night.
It was rumored the sophomore Portis and junior Qualls would perhaps make public a decision at the gathering as to whether they’d try their hand at the professional game or stay in Fayetteville, but each time either won one of several awards, only jokes were made.
Their coach, Mike Anderson, isn’t dropping any hints if he knows anything, either.
