John Holland's RBI single scored Jake Vickerson with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Bulldogs held on for a 2-1 win. Mississippi State snapped a six-game losing streak.
Arkansas stranded the bases loaded in the eighth inning and stranded another runner in the ninth. The Razorbacks lost a series finale for the first time in five weeks.
Arkansas (26-18, 11-10 SEC) will play again Thursday at Alabama.
