STATESBORO, Ga. – Poor field conditions and the threat for more inclement weather forced the cancellation of Tuesday's first round games at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament at J.I. Clements Stadium on the campus of Georgia Southern.
Little Rock and Texas State were scheduled to play each other in the tournament's opening round this evening, but that has been put on hold.
Alternative sites and make-up schedules are being examined. Tuesday's forecast as well as Wednesday's forecast calls for a high chance of rain most of the day. Georgia Southern and Sun Belt officials will continue to monitor the weather situation throughout the day and overnight Tuesday.
