LITTLE ROCK – Former Little Rock swimmer Kayla Grimm has earned the Missouri Valley Conference's highest academic achievement by receiving the President's Council Academic Excellence Award.
Grimm was one of just 74 student-athletes to receive the honor.
The President's Council Academic Excellence Award requires a minimum 3.8 cumulative grade point average (through Spring 2017 semester), participation in athletics a minimum of two years, and the student-athlete must be within 18 hours of graduation.
Grimm was a member of UA Little Rock's Donaghey Scholars Program — the university's honors program.
Grimm graduated in May and closed out a four-year career at Little Rock.
