The 2016 Summer Olympics are almost history, and an Arizona Wildcat has grabbed a gold medal for the United States!
Arizona Swim and Dive placed five athletes in the Olympic Games, representing four countries. Diver Rafael Quintero of Puerto Rico has yet to compete, and his big day is this Friday, August 19th at noon Arizona time on the platform.
Quintero was named 2016 Pac-12 Men’s Diver of the Year. The other swimmers competed with and against a very strong American team. Between the swimmers from the USA and talented swimmers from Australia and other countries, it was tough to break through for a medal.
