Jared Baker signs with Cardinals

A quarterback and three special teams specialists are among the 16 rookie free agents signed by the Cardinals in the days after the draft.

Alabama quarterback Jake Coker could contend with Matt Barkley for the backup job behind Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton.

Last year, Coker completed 263-of-393 passes (66.9%) for 3,110 yards, 21 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

In Alabama’s victory over Clemson in the national championship game, Coker passed for 335 yards and two touchdowns.

The Cardinals signed two rookie long snappers, Kameron Canaday from Portland State and Daniel Dillon from Campbell, to compete for the job that opened when Mike Leach retired earlier this year.
