How Arizona Wildcats can salvage this season

TUCSON — Jahmile Addae knows a turnaround is possible. The Arizona safeties coach has seen it happen.

In his first season playing for his current boss, Rich Rodriguez, at West Virginia, the Mountaineers finished 3-8. The next year, they went 9-4.

The difference between then and now is that Rodriguez, Addae and the Wildcats have no intention of waiting until next year.

“We’re not afforded that time, nor do we want that time,” Addae said. “We want to get better.”

Arizona is 2-5 overall, 0-4 in the Pac-12. The Wildcats’ best-case scenario is to go on a run to get bowl-eligible.
