Arizona women's basketball continues conference struggles, fall to California

The Arizona women’s basketball team lost to the California Golden Bears 71-60 in their second of four straight road games. The win for the Golden Bears ended their two game losing streak.

The Wildcats played hard throughout the game, but turnovers and foul trouble cost them the game. Cal was able to score 20 points off of 16 turnovers, and Arizona struggled without Lucia Alonso’s presence at the point after she fouled out. Seniors LaBrittney Jones and Breanna Workman each had four fouls at the end of the game, which hindered Arizona’s defensive strength.

Jones was the best player on the floor for the Wildcats all afternoon.
