Arizona Wildcats basketball team safe after Barcelona terror attack

On Thursday, a van rammed into a crowd of civilians in Barcelona’s Las Ramblas tourist area, which is not too far from where the Arizona Wildcats are staying during their Spain exhibition tour.

However, the UA announced the team is safe.

“Our entire travel party is safe and accounted for following the situation in Barcelona today,” said the team’s Twitter account. “Our thoughts are with the people affected.”

Shortly after the incident, Allonzo Trier tweeted that it’s “time to go”, and one has to wonder if the Wildcats will resume their trip or leave town as soon as they possibly can.
