LAS VEGAS – Zahid and Anthony Valencia continued their stellar first full campaign at ASU with strong performances at the U.S. Open Wrestling Championships over the weekend.
Zahid won the UWW Junior Freestyle title at 84 kg while Anthony finished fourth in the Senior Freestyle Division, qualifying them both for further competition this summer. Zahid will compete in the Junior World Team Trials, Anthony in the USA World Team Trials, both in June.
Zahid wins the 86 KG National Junior Wrestling Championships and qualifies for the USA Junior World Team Trials in June.
